FRAMES

Cadsteel wall frames are produced using computerised Framecad machinery that ensure that each component is exactly to the engineers specifications and are accurate to within 1.6mm.

Every joint is either crimped or swaged so that there are no unsightly bulges in the wall lining ensuring a perfectly smooth finish. Prior to being screwed together, each component is located with male and female dimples to add additional strength and ensure that each joint is perfectly located prior to fastening.

Cadsteel wall frames can be designed and manufactured to meet Australia’s toughest cyclone wind load standards.  Concentrated loads are also more easily resisted by cold formed steel due to its high strength. Fire, acoustic and thermal ratings are also easy to achieve using Cadsteel frames.

TRUSSES

Cadsteel trusses are lighter weight, stronger and and more durable than traditional timber trusses.  Cadsteel trusses are designed using “state of the art” engineering protocols ensuring the highest possible level accuracy and are not affected by poor fastening or weak spots in the materials.

Various truss designs are readily incorporated into virtually any design and are manufactured off site using the latest rollforming technology ensuring that our trusses meet or exceed the National Association of Steel Framed Housing (NASH) requirements.

C-SPAN

C-SPAN is a light weight flooring system designed to replace web or timber joists. Manufactured utilising “state of the art” rollformers the system comprises both joists and perimeter frame with the joists sitting at the same level as the perimeter, achieving a full load transfer for multi-level dwellings providing strength and reliability.

C-Span joists are pre-punched with service holes to provide sufficient space for electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning services within the joist. Our trucks are fitted with HIAB cranes with substantial reach so that C-Span can be delivered to your site without the additional cost of crane hire.

ABOUT

Since the 1990’s Cadsteel has been one of the early adopters of light gauge steel framing operating steel framing factories in New Zealand and the USA and now Australia.  Fully Australian owned and operated, Cadsteel uses the latest innovative technology and FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment to produce lightweight galvanised steel frames, trusses and flooring systems.

Cold-formed steel framing offers a long range of benefits.  It is non-combustible and can withstand fires, hurricanes, and high winds. Cold formed steel is a termite, mould, and rot-proof solution and is the most recycled material on Earth. The ease of prefabrication and mass production, fast and easy erection, and installation substantially speeds up construction time.

At Cadsteel, quality is our mission. No matter what you’re looking for, we’re committed to bringing you exactly what you need, when you need it. Our customers love working with us because we produce high quality products with an exceptionally fast turnaround.   Because steel is fabricated to exact standards, it provides unmatched precision. Cold formed steel members can be accurate to within 1.6 mm, allowing even complicated designs to be constructed more easily and with less waste than with traditional materials.

Cadsteel offers cost saving benefits that include:

  • Rapid production speed

  • Fast and easy on-site installation

  • Design-led means less need for on-site skilled labor

  • The frames are lighter than wood make them easier to handle on-site

  • There is less wasted material, as each piece is made to exact specifications during the manufacturing stage

  • Steel frames don’t absorb moisture which speeds up the project compared to more traditional construction methods.
